Washington, the most northerly of the States along the Pacific coast of the US, is the country’s second largest producer of wine after the hugely dominant California.  There are two distinct areas of production, the land to the west of the Cascade mountains, close to the ocean, where the climate is temperate with wet autumns, winters and springs and the interior to the east of the Cascades, where the climate is extreme and arid.

With the notable exception of Chateau Sainte Michelle (pictured), most Washington wineries are family run and it’s from the best of these we’ve have selected the wines for you to enjoy.
