Over the last decade an entirely peaceful revolution has been going on in South America – in winemaking .
What began in Chile has now spread to Argentina and Uruguay. In the vineyards the focus is very much on old vine fruit and terroir : in the winery a “low intervention ” mantra means far less oak and extraction. The result is wines with a positively European sense of place, elegant, fresh and food friendly.
Our tasting includes white and reds from all 3 countries from surprising grape varieties and lesser known regions – wines that will surprise and delight.
